My practice centers around ceramics, focusing on ceramic materials and their technology. I think through/with clay. While there are crossovers into other mediums, clay always remains the core material that I explore and study. Ceramics offer me endless possibilities because it involves a fascinating and ongoing process of learning. I also enjoy reading and researching, which feeds into this process.
My work, osculates between themes such as balance between fiction and reality, where I explore the boundaries between imagined and tangible worlds. I create thought-provoking narratives that often engage with cultural and social dynamics, reflecting on how this shaped our interactions and identities. Care and geometry are central elements in my work, as I use precise forms and structures to convey meaning, while also addressing the emotional and human aspects of making.
Ceramics has always been a medium that reflects human conditions and societal needs, and my work continues this legacy while introducing the idea of archiving through modern techniques. To stay relevant, I focus on generating value, curiosity, and knowledge, constantly learning new methods and combining them with my foundational skills to explore new frontiers.
I often revisit my earlier works, as I find that, with time and new perspectives, they continue to evolve and take on deeper meanings.
